Short answer: Honolulu airport parking costs up to $29 per day in the three airport garages, with the first 15 minutes free. Drivers picking someone up can wait free for up to an hour in the cell phone lots.

Honolulu airport parking is all in garages run by the state, and the rates are the same in each. Here are the numbers and where each garage sits.

These are the current rates from the HNL parking page. The 6-hour-plus rates went up on July 1, 2026, per HDOT’s rate notice.

Which garage to use

  • Terminal 1 Garage: next to Terminal 1. Seven stories, 7-foot height limit. If it’s full, a vehicle bridge on level 6 leads to the International Garage.
  • Terminal 2 Garage: across from Terminal 2, entered from the second level of the Airport Access Road. Walkways on level 4 lead to the terminal.
  • International Garage: across from International Arrivals, eight stories with about 1,800 spaces. This is also where Turo hosts hand over cars (levels 7 and 8).

The airport site shows live space counts, refreshed every 10 minutes. Write your garage and level on your ticket, and keep the ticket off the dashboard.

Free cell phone waiting lots

Picking someone up? The two cell phone lots let you wait free for up to 60 minutes. One is on Aolele Street near Lagoon Drive, the other on Service Road A near the airport post office. You have to stay in the car; unattended vehicles get cited and towed.

EV charging

The International Garage has 20 Level II chargers on the ground level, on the makai (south) side, and EV-only stalls on several levels. Cars in charging stalls must be plugged in.

Flying in and renting a car?

You won’t need these garages to pick up a rental: every major company is in the rental car center across from Terminal 2. The Honolulu Airport rental car guide covers how to get there from each terminal, and gas stations near Honolulu airport covers the fill-up before you return it.
